I watched tv and freestyles, then one day I decided to hop on a beat & it took off from there”, Judie said with a glare in her eyes. “Music has always been an important part of our culture. It has inspired emotions, feelings & actions. It has become a part of who we are as a people.” Addressing the many concerns Judie has about the current industry, she said, “As a whole, the genre is diverse in terms of its style & subject matter. Some rappers focus on the social issues of the day, while others talk about the life experiences of the hood. The genre has been changing rapidly over the past few years & I would like to keep up with it.” If anyone can do it, Judie, It’s you!
