M-Pak is unique, in that he is the only artist to explicitly blend humor & motivational rap in his music. This allows him to avoid the many pitfalls of motivational rap, by avoiding the more obvious lyrics & instead focusing on the punchlines.

Maleek aka M-Pak gives hope to those who aren’t sure they want to continue living. He gives them a sense of purpose & sets them on the path to success. This is not without merit, as the world needs more “M-Pacers” like Maleek.

“I’ve often wondered,” He spoke, “whether the way people react to me is different, than if I were from a different culture or a different race.” Then continued, “I hate the fact that we are all divided & there seems to be no middle ground for everyone to stand on. Through my music, I want to perpetuate in people’s minds; that we all can stand together, even when we have no similarities. We are all human after all, maybe that should amount to something.”

Introducing himself, Remi told us, “My name is Lor Remi, I’m a Baltimore artist, I’m 23 – my style is impeccable & I am a trendsetter. I grew up listening to old-school rappers, at the ages of 9-14; artists such as Rakim, Biggie, Tupac, Mc Shan, Lupe Fiasco, Run Dmc, etc. So, the style I have now; it’s completely me & that ties into my vision. I make songs now, only I switch up my flow, I always have something catchy, that will stick in your head, and I make sure I do that, so that years from now or even when I’m dead, it will just come to u randomly, depending on what you are going through & you will be like Oh that was fire”!

Then continued, “I just started working on newer songs, but I just released 2 mixtapes & a single as well, (Too Traumatized) June 4th & (The Type 4) June 20th & then the single (Fiesta) July 4th. The artists who inspired me were Chief Keef & Drake. They remind you of all the artists I was listening to at a young age; those were the first 2 newer age artists that I heard before anybody else.”

Talking about his plans, Remi said, “In 10 years, I should be wealthy. But, in the next 3-5 years, I should be internationally known for my music. Because, it’s not about the money for me, it’s more about changing peoples lives & for them to relate to what I’m preaching to the outside world. I was a very outspoken person, so music is the only way I can be who I am & say what I want”

First coming onto the DMV music scene in 2021, with his debut mixtape “Class In Session”. He’s been very consistent with shows & a lot of back to back hits, like “Active” ft RG JWild, “How That Work” & his “Work Season” mixtape. Now, one year later he just released his latest project “Work Season 2”. His most popular songs are “Get To The Money”, “Wit Da Men” & “Rotation”. He’s been working with artists like RG Jwild, RiskGod, ReallyAlias, 1CallSlime & more. He’s also worked with notable producers & engineers in the DMV area such as Marco the Engineer, Jankyonthebeat, Dirtyy_4, MaxoBeats & more.
