Naughty, naughty, naughty; watch out now… He’s watching!!!

Surely everyone readied themselves to read about how God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient… Of course, He’s all those and more, and the aforementioned is reason enough to love Him dearly the way I do.

But, let me tell you how bad I messed up today. My husband, who’s NOT a Christian, but has been going through this chaos with me over the past three days got the worst of me ever this morning, and although I apologized wholeheartedly, he’s still LITERALLY lookin at me sideways, and rightfully so.

Regardless of what has impacted our lives, we MUST never allow the enemy to get us that angry through another person, and it’s true, my husband probably did deserve the wrath he received, because the things he was saying was totally obnoxious, hurtful, rude, condescending… The whole gist, I mean he so much as called me trifling for us going through what we were, and that sent me fire mad.

Now, God says be angry but sin NOT… Can someone Plllleeeeeaaaaassssseeee HHHEEEELLLLPPPP me understand what we’re to do in a split second… When someone is kicking you while you’re already down so to say!!!

I put emphasis on “he’s watching” because the look on his face after the outlandish explosion, came from me, was as if he had seen a ghost, and he really hasn’t uttered a word since… It makes me laugh, to myself, to see him kind of fearful of me… I doubt that seriously. It’s just pure shock, and that’s my point! Our families, coworkers and unsaved acquaintances expect better from us.

For real, we’re the ONLY God they see and know. But, if we act like that, what’s the reason for salvation… Let’s go family… I need feedback today!!!

I’m so angry at myself, even though he looks like a scared lost puppy and it makes me snicker… Forgive me Daddy!!! It’s NOT one bit funny, and mind you I deftly repented.

  1. I have to agree with the earlier comment about humility. There is something about bowing the head, the will, the pride that makes you stand taller and stronger in the end. Clean hands and clean heart. 🙂 Being able to say “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound so harsh” or angry or whatever will usually soften the situation or at least keep it from escalating. Hold yourself accountable but also give yourself some grace. Remembrance is key: I’m betting you still responded better that you did in the past.. and next time may be even better. Blessings.

    1. Ohhhhh trust that the next time will be better… I’m determined to stay Prayed up… And you’re right, I was much more lenient than I use to be. Surely back in the day it would’ve gotten physical. I use to be a humdinger… But, I’m Glad to be saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost!

      1. Hello again, my sister. I’m sorry for what you’re going through with your husband. It’s very hard work being in an unequally yoked marriage, I have experience with that too. It sets you up for too many close encounters with the evil one. He will use people who are closest to us to provoke us into sinning. Remember in Ephesians 6:10-18 we’re told that our struggle is NOT against flesh and blood (your husband) but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. We have to be strong in the LORD and in His mighty power – this is not a battle we will win on our own. Put on God’s armor – daily.
Your commitment to pray each morning will definitely change the dynamics of your day especially when you submit your will to the Father’s.
Oh, and by the way, the method of counting to ten before your tongue inflicts a wound is a good one for me. It has saved me a lot of times! May the Light of our LORD guide you into His blessed peace. Hugs! 😊 Jodee

        1. Thanx, and right after going through this Joel Osteen preached a sermon warning us to run (LITERALLY). I started laughing because I can see my husband now, thinking I’ve completely lost my mind… But, Joel said forget what they think… Do it!!! To stay right with God and explain later. I may not run, but I’ll deftly walk away swiftly lol. Just as I did this morning… He tried it, but I left w quickly for work!!!

  2. It honestly sounds like my last few days working outside. lol. I’ve had a few minor outbursts recently and even other issues arise. I rest in the fact that I will always be a sinner but my God has given me the grace and strength to move on from that. Forgiveness is what sets the heart free!

  3. Non-Christian family and co-workers just don’t get it. Salvation doesn’t mean we aren’t going to sin. It means we are in God’s grace and can ask for forgiveness… I get that look from my husband too who isn’t a Christian. “You told a lie. You’re a Christian. You’re not expose to this or that.” Okay I’m not perfect. I have to ask for forgiveness every day. I’m a work in process. Gone ahead say, “I’m sorry.” I would say try to explain salvation to him, but if he’s like my husband, he doesn’t what to hear it. Prayers for a better day.

  4. Ohhh, that can be sooo hard in that split second! All we can ever do is pick up and keep letting His light shine and ask for His help to be that gentle quiet spirit. Blessedly, because He sees all, He also knows our hearts and what we have need of. Repent, and remember it will do well for hubby to see Christians aren’t perfected, just sinners saved by grace. Praying, sis!

  5. Eat some humble pie, ask forgiveness for your sinful retort.

Salvation never makes you perfect, not in this life. It takes his perfection and clothes you.

What an example you make with the one you sinned against, when you seek their forgiveness.

We’re not hypocrites, we agree sinned who know we need forgiveness from Christ, and also from others.
